Our two-hour e-bike ride beginning and ending in Rüdesheim takes us along the Rhine and through the vineyards. Approx a 12 mile run. Please note: this tour does not include the coffee tasting or a view of the village.

Near the foot of the Niederwald, surrounded by vineyards, the ruins of Ehrenfels Castle watch over the Rhine Gorge; just around the bend, you'll dock in the winemaking town of Rüdesheim, under the lofty gaze of the famous Neiderwald Monument. The 1000-year-old town charms with its cobblestone streets of storybook houses, cafes, and wine taverns.

If you are interested you can join one of your Tauck Directors as an alternative to the Choo-Choo train for a faster paced walk, about 30 mins. Meet in the Panorama Lounge just before 09:15am to begin your walk. See the museum and afterwards, try the local coffee treat at the Rüdesheimer Schloss. It is not to be missed as they explain why the drink is their specialty.

Alternatively, you can explore this charming, riverside wine town by e-bike viewing this UNESCO Heritage Middle Rhine Valley from the shore. You will visit a vineyard, however, there is no wine tasting.

Among its must-see attractions is Siegfried's Mechanisches Musikkabinett, a museum dedicated to antique self-playing musical instruments. Siegfried's mesmerizing collection includes orchestrations, musical clocks, player pianos, fairground organs, self-playing violins, and the world's largest automated doll orchestra. Afterwards, try the local coffee treat at the Rüdesheimer Schloss.
After everyone returns to the riverboat, we will begin our cruise of the romantic Middle Rhine. We will view Sentinel castles, steep sloping vineyards, and towering precipices like the Lorelei Rock. As we wind past, we will hear the tales and stories with commentary by your Tauck Director.
Once we arrive in Koblenz, we have an opportunity to step ashore for a walk along the promenade and participate in the local atmosphere of the town.

All exterior ship doors are locked at all times when docked. Place your cabin keycard against the black sensor pad beside the jamb to open. Additionally, for your stateroom security, ensure that your balcony doors are shut and locked at all times when you leave your stateroom.
