Please gather on the sundeck while we sail away from Rotterdam through the famous harbor - the biggest harbor in Europe. Your Tauck Director Anna will provide some commentary about the harbor and will be broadcasting from the wheelhouse. Her commentary can be heard on the sundeck, in the Panorama Lounge and in your cabin on the "Info" channel.

This morning your riverboat arrives in Rotterdam. This city on the river Meuse with its impressive skyline is perhaps the most dynamic city in the Netherlands. Flattened by bombs during World War II, today it is one of the most modern, innovative and unique cities in the Netherlands. The city is characterized by an imposing skyline of skyscrapers and modern design, but also by icons such as the Erasmus Bridge, Rotterdam Central Station and of course the Euromast observation tower, which offers breathtaking views of the city and surrounding areas.
A pre-selected choice of shore excursions today includes a locally guided walking and food tour of Rotterdam, or a visit to Delft and its porcelain factory.

In the famous Covered Markthal, which is topped with sought-after glass walled apartments, and lined with some 96 stalls, you can experience Dutch culinary specialties under an arched ceiling covered with fruit - and - vegetables murals.
Alternatively, drive 30 minutes to Delft for a guided tour of the city's Royal Delft factory to learn more about the distinctive blue and white Delftware pottery first introduced by local artisans in the 17th century.
